![]() ![]() I think there is still roughly a year or so until final release version, so there is surely more to come. I am pretty happy about how the game evolved in early access so far, can recommend it if you liked the 1st game or Freelancer. Or you can find some better/unique equipment in the wilds. You can craft most equipment but need to disassemble stuff of the same quality to unlock the blueprints. The different ships you can fly cover a lot of different play styles, each with their unique special skills and buffs. Game looks gorgeous and the puzzles were interesting. He got even more excited when we told him that. Story wasnt bad but nothing spectacular either, but the combat is really satisfying. Very excited to meet Ray Chase, voice actor of the hero in Everspace and lots of other great video games. ![]() I spent roughly 20 hours in the 1st 3 systems. Everspace 2 is a true Sci-fi game in every aspect, including wonderful voice acting for everyone except the protagonist, who sounds like he is suffering. Its only 3 systems so far but the map shows twice this amount. There's a main story line that unlocks new systems and lots of secondary quests. You have the freedom to explore areas and go wherever you want to, do generated "unknown signal" encounters or fly to handcrafted spots, which offer puzzle or combat challenges or are somehow involved with the story. Game is a lot of fun, combat is the same (or similar) to Everspace 1, but its not a rogue like. Having more recently played more traditional space fighter games like Star Wars: Squadrons and Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, it was a minor struggle for me to get. Finished the Zharkov area on the experimental branch. ![]()
